An archaeological evaluation was carried out in Tattenabuddagh townland near Fivemiletown, Co. Fermanagh, as part of the planning application for a dwelling. The application site is located c. 50m to the north-east of a stone circle (FER214–009) and c. 40m to the north-west of a multiple cist cairn (FER210–008). There are no visible remains of either antiquity.
The evaluation consisted of four mechanically excavated test-trenches within the footprint of the proposed dwelling. A number of features of modern date were recorded, for example field drains and plough furrows, but these are not considered to be of great archaeological significance.
