Monitoring of topsoil-stripping works at the site of a proposed development was undertaken between 31 July and 7 August 2006. The topsoil varied in depth between 0.1m and 0.3m and its removal revealed natural subsoil, a light-grey/brown boulder clay. No archaeological features or artefacts were identified during the course of this monitoring exercise.
