Monitoring of all ground disturbance activities associated with the construction of a sports injury clinic within Santry Demesne was undertaken in January 2006. The proposed development site is situated close to DU014–030, listed as a dwelling site. The location of the sports injury clinic is illustrated on the first-edition OS map as being in open pasture. The topsoil was removed from the site to an average depth of 0.3m exposing the underlying orange/brown silt clay subsoil. No features or stratigraphy of an archaeological nature were identified.
