Monitoring was conducted on 14–25 August 2006. The areas excavated consisted of about 3km of pathways, each 2.5m wide. Several areas of the site were of recently made-up ground. Occasional modern pottery, glass and metal from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries were revealed in the non-disturbed areas of the site. No archaeological features or artefacts were identified during the course of the monitoring programme.
