Drainage works were carried out in Phoenix Park in November and December 2006. In total 1400m of drainage pipes were laid along the Upper Glen Road, Knockmahon Road and Chapelizod Gate Road. The drainage trench was 0.8m wide and 0.5–1.25m deep. The majority of the drains were located alongside existing roads. The trenches were filled with a mid-brown humic layer that contained tree roots. No finds were recovered. No archaeological features were identified.
