Monitoring was conducted during groundworks in February on a site at 41 Arran Quay. The excavation of foundation trenches for the small extension was carried out by hand. The ground had been previously disturbed and no structures came to light.
During the excavation, 120 shards of early modern pottery were recovered. They have been sent for expert study and the result will be included in the final report.
