It is proposed by Down District Council to upgrade the gravel pitch at Donard Park, Newcastle, Co. Down, to a synthetic turf playing pitch. Prior to construction commencing, an archaeological assessment of the site was conducted. No archaeological deposits were identified during the course of the assessment.
