It was proposed to construct a new sports changing pavilion and carpark at the Mill Playing Fields, Killough, Co. Down. Monitoring of topsoil removal was conducted. The initial topsoil-strip identified a layer of hardcore extending to a depth of 0.5m. Two further test-trenches confirmed the presence of this layer across the area of the proposed development. No archaeological deposits were identified during the course of the monitoring.
