Monitoring was conducted on site prior to the construction of three houses on the land adjacent to Cranfield Road, Kilkeel, Co. Down. During this work two linear features were identified at the base and mid-point of the hill that formed the site. Excavation revealed that, while neither feature produced any datable material, both appear to have been machine-cut and as such would be relatively modern in date. These field boundaries were of no archaeological significance.

Editor’s note: Although this licence was issued during 2005, the report on the work was not received in time for inclusion in the bulletin of that year.
