A preliminary phase of topsoil-stripping was carried out to facilitate the placement of an access road. This revealed a c. 4m-diameter ring-ditch containing a central pit. Associated with this was at least one, and another possible, cremation. A short distance away to the south was another feature, a pit with a charcoal-rich fill. This was quite a regular cut measuring c. 1.5m by 0.75m. No artefacts were recovered.
