An archaeological evaluation was required to establish the potential impact of the proposed development of a private dwelling and garage. The site was located c. 20m north of a standing stone (DOW041–055). Six evaluation trenches were excavated within the proposed development site boundary. The site was found to be quite heavily disturbed by plough furrows, field drains and field boundaries, all modern in origin. It was evident that there were no finds or features of archaeological significance in the undisturbed areas of the trenches.
