Along the route of the Briggs Rock to Donaghadee pipeline were several sites in nine areas: Areas 1, 3, 4 and 8 contained burnt-mound material (Bronze Age/Early Christian cooking/water-heating places), Area 5 was a ring-ditch that may have been a truncated Bronze Age burial mound, and Areas 2, 6, 7 and 9 were isolated small pits and linear trenches whose date and function are unclear at this point. Three 18th–19th-century field boundaries were also examined.
