Testing was carried out at Dooish, Ballybofey, Co. Donegal, on 28 November 2006. The work was undertaken in advance of the construction of five dwelling houses and associated site works. The development is c. 60m north of DG077–007 and is considered to be an area of high archaeological potential.
Eight test-trenches were excavated through the site. They encompassed the immediate development zone and an area 60m to the south. All trenches recorded a similar stratigraphic matrix and none recorded the presence of any archaeological material or deposits.
