Test-trenching was carried out as part of the planning schedule for a housing development which includes the site of a standing stone; no development will take place in the vicinity of the monument. A series of trenches were excavated by mechanical digger at the house sites, road network and green spaces. No features or finds of archaeological significance were revealed.
