Three test-trenches were excavated at the site of a proposed dwelling house. Part of the site is within the zone of potential of a ringfort and possible souterrain (CO094–061(01, 02)), but there will be no groundworks in this part of the site. The ringfort is located 80m to the south-west in Cappeen West townland, to the south of a stream and across the road from this site. No archaeological finds or features were noted during testing.
