Test-trenching was carried out as part of the planning schedule for a residential and commercial development at the rear of 98–101 Davis Street within the archaeological zone of constraint for Mallow town. A series of trenches were excavated by mechanical digger at the site and ancillary works. No features or finds of archaeological significance were revealed.
