An impact assessment involving a test excavation was prepared prior to the granting of approval to construct a single dwelling house. The proposed development is located in Lisnacunna, Enniskeane, at the summit of slightly elevated agricultural land. A standing stone (CO122–024) is located in a field to the north of the proposed development site. A large quartz boulder lies to the immediate south of the standing stone and another larger limestone boulder is lying flat on the ground. Test-trenches placed across the footprint of the house and along the driveway were excavated to a level below the natural boulder clay and no features or finds of archaeological significance were noted in any of the these areas.
