At Kilshanny 1, a Bronze Age house, structures, pits and a number of post-medieval agricultural features were found during pre-construction testing in advance of the N8 Fermoy–Mitchelstown road scheme. The excavation, which commenced on 28 September 2006, is expected to conclude in early 2007. On conclusion, a more detailed summary account will be provided in Excavations 2007.
