Monitoring of groundworks associated with the upgrade of a septic tank to a wastewater treatment plant and access road by Cork County Council was undertaken at Conva. The site is located to the north of the archaeological complex of churches and a castle (CO034–037) and within the eastern end of Convamore Demesne. The south-eastern corner of the site is bound by the graveyard wall of Christ Church. Topsoil was stripped from the area of the treatment plant. The area of the access road was stripped of topsoil and covered with terram and topsoil. It measured 51m in length by 4.3m in width. A buffer zone of 1m was established between the edge of the access road and the graveyard wall.
