At Ballinglanna North 2 a series of pits (including one pit with stake-holes around its edge), a hearth and a linear ditch were found during pre-construction testing in advance of the N8 Fermoy–
Mitchelstown road scheme. The excavation, which commenced on 4 December 2006, is expected to conclude in early 2007. On conclusion, a more detailed summary account will be submitted to Excavations 2007.
