Three test-trenches were opened up on a site at Ballinacarriga, Dunmanway, which is in the environs of a tower-house and bawn. Topsoil was removed to a depth of 0.07–0.25 in the trenches. Rock outcrop occurred throughout. No archaeological finds or levels were noted in the trenches.
