Trial-trenching was carried out on 15 March 2006 at the site of a proposed housing development covering 32 acres. The assessment was concerned with the southern section of the site, where an enclosure (CL034–050) had been recorded but of which no surface trace survived. Three trial-trenches were excavated at the site and nothing of archaeological interest was discovered. Monitoring of groundworks was carried out in this area during the construction phase, from 12 to 16 May 2006, and nothing of archaeological interest was discovered.
