Testing was undertaken of two adjacent residential development sites located at Swellan Lower, Cavan, in March 2006, in compliance with a request for further information. The sites are located adjacent to two ringforts (CV020–070 and 020–071), the latter of which is c. 30m from the nearest boundary of the development sites. Eight trenches were excavated within the boundaries of the overall holding. Nothing of archaeological interest was uncovered.
