Testing of a proposed development at Rathtoe, Co. Carlow, was undertaken as part of a pre-development impact assessment. The site is partially located within the constraint zone for a potential site (aerial photograph) (CW013–006). The proposed development consists of the construction of a sewerage treatment plant on a greenfield site. No archaeological finds or features were uncovered during testing.
