The site was excavated as part of the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford scheme: Kilcullen to Powerstown. A single cremation pit containing charcoal, burnt bone and possible prehistoric pottery was uncovered, measuring 0.6m wide and 0.33m deep. A flint flake was found in the topsoil elsewhere in the field.
