The site was excavated as part of the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford scheme: Kilcullen to Powerstown. Full resolution was conducted on this site between 4 and 7 April 2006. This revealed two charcoal-production pits, two post-holes associated with one of the charcoal pits, a burnt spread, a possible quenching pit, three cremation pits and several isolated stake-holes. A number of modern furrows, drains and ditches were also recorded.
