The site was excavated as part of the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford scheme: Kilcullen to Powerstown. A supine inhumation of an adult male (aged 25–35) was excavated. The skeleton seemed to be in isolation, in a subrectangular grave-cut, 0.3m in depth. The skeleton was aligned east–west, with the right hand over the pelvis, the left hand at the side. The skeleton measured 1.65m in length, was in a good state of preservation and contained no grave goods, although two small pillow stones had been placed on either side of the neck. Further analysis is ongoing.
