The site was uncovered during monitoring activity for the road and services phase of a development. The site was an isolated area consisting of three irregular-shaped features of charcoal-rich soil and heat-affected stones, reflecting Bronze Age features known as ‘potboilers’. These features were partially disturbed by modern field drains and boundaries running through the site. The site was fully excavated. No features of a structural nature were identified and no finds were recovered. The monitoring of the road path and the excavation of the features uncovered along this path is complete, but further monitoring needs to carried out during the construction phase for the houses.
