The site was excavated as part of the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford scheme: Kilcullen to Powerstown. Excavation revealed the presence of a linear feature and cultivation furrows, suggesting agricultural activity on site. A linear ditch was identified, possibly representing the remains of a post-medieval field boundary system. The finds from a rubbish spread situated at the base of the ditch suggest domestic waste with a post-medieval date.
