Monitoring was undertaken between 27 March and 5 May 2006 of ground-reduction works at the site of proposed development at 44 Windsor Park, Malone Road, Belfast. All ground reduction below the existing carpark floor level was carried out by means of a mechanical excavator furnished with a toothless bucket. Overlying deposits measured on average a depth of 0.5m and their removal revealed natural subsoil. No archaeological remains were identified during the course of this monitoring exercise.
