The site was excavated as part of the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford scheme: Kilcullen to Powerstown. A small area of possibly archaeological features was noted for excavation during the testing phase. On investigation, modern land clearance activity was investigated and no features of archaeological significance were revealed.
