Monitoring was required in advance of a new housing development. Initial monitoring of topsoil removal revealed eight areas of potential archaeology. Further clearance of these areas showed four of them to be non-archaeological in nature. Of the other four areas, three were revealed as pits of varying size and the fourth as containing a possible structure, defined by a curvilinear slot with four associated post-holes. Further topsoil monitoring at the eastern end of the site revealed more pits. Finds recovered from the site included two sherds of prehistoric pottery and a number of flint blades. Post-excavation analysis is ongoing.
