This site was excavated as part of the recently completed BGE (Northern Ireland) gas pipeline. It consisted of a loose cluster of three badly truncated post-holes, with a fourth a short distance away. The largest of the cluster was subcircular, with a 0.4m diameter and a depth of 0.12m, and was filled by mid-greyish-brown sandy silt with charcoal flecking and stone post packing on the northern edge. A second post-hole, c. 2m south-west, measured 0.24m in diameter by 0.15m deep and was filled with mid-grey/brown sandy silt with charcoal inclusions. The third post-hole, which measured 0.28m in diameter by 0.15m deep, was filled with mid-grey/brown sandy silt with charcoal flecking and small sub-angular stones, and lay c. 2.5m to the north-west. The remaining post-hole measured 0.26m in diameter by 0.15m deep and was filled with dark-grey/black sandy silt with frequent charcoal inclusions.
