It is proposed to construct a stables complex on farmland adjacent to Dalway’s Bawn. The proposed development will consist of two blocks of stables and is believed to be located within the area of the walled garden associated with the bawn.
A series of test-trenches were excavated across the area of the proposed development. The trenches revealed the area to consist of considerable deposits of made ground c. 3m in depth. No evidence of archaeological deposits was identified during the course of the assessment.
