Prior to the redevelopment of Lamont Mill at Riverside, Co. Antrim, an industrial heritage survey of the site was conducted which revealed that, while the area is known to have contained a mill since the later 18th century, the present buildings all appear to date to the later 19th–20th century. A survey of some of these buildings was conducted, before demolition took place, using a 3D cyrax scan. In addition, a series of test-trenches were excavated across the site but nothing of archaeological significance was found.
