Testing of this site in 2003 revealed a number of archaeological features, which were subsequently preserved in situ (Excavations 2003, No. 2053). Monitoring of groundworks in 2004 did not uncover any features of significance (Excavations 2004, No. 1836), but monitoring in 2005 revealed a stone-built jetty. It was not necessary to disturb this feature in the construction process.
