Testing at this site was undertaken in response to planning conditions. The testing revealed potential archaeological deposits in the form of walls, timbers, occupation deposits and stone deposits. These deposits may be phases in the reclamation of the Wexford shoreline and the deposits closest to North Main Street may date to the medieval period. The exposed northern section face of the site boundary contained medieval occupation deposits which had been truncated by the construction of a basement at the site.
