The site was situated in a flat, low-lying area. It was excavated to investigate some dark patches noted during test-trenching. The following features were found: three recent drains or spade cultivation furrows, eight small charcoal spreads probably resulting from burning tree stumps and roots, and two small pits or post-holes of unknown date or purpose. Finds consisted of some flint debitage and two post-medieval potsherds.
