The excavation of the remains of nine archaeological sites that had been previously identified during centre-line testing along the proposed route of the N11 Gorey–Arklow link in the townlands of Coolnastudd (six sites) and Coolnaveagh (three sites), Co. Wexford, took place during the period 14 May to 5 September 2005. At the site of Coolnaveagh 20 the remains of a modern field boundary along with an accompanying field drain system were excavated. The remains of a pit-like feature were also uncovered lying immediately west to the remains of the modern field boundary.
