The excavation of the remains of nine archaeological sites that had been previously identified during centre-line testing along the proposed route of the N11 Gorey–Arklow link in the townlands of Coolnastudd (six sites) and Coolnaveagh (three sites), Co. Wexford, took place during the period 14 May–5 September 2005. At the site of Coolnastudd 19 the remains of a small mound of heat-fractured stones, a natural depression filled with heat-fractured stones, the remains of a modern field drain and the remains of a third deposit of heat-fractured stones with an accompanying pot boiler were excavated.
