The excavation of the remains of nine archaeological sites that had been previously identified during centre-line testing along the proposed route of the N11 Gorey–Arklow link in the townlands of Coolnastudd (six sites) and Coolnaveagh (three sites), Co. Wexford, took place during the period 14 May to 5 September 2005. At the site of Coolnastudd 17 the remains of a modern pit, two areas of surface burning and a natural soil deposit were excavated.
