Monitoring took place in advance of a proposed house restoration and associated effluent treatment system at Churchtown, Carne, Co. Wexford. The proposed site is located within the village of Churchtown. It lies immediately to the west of Holy Trinity Church, which is on the site of the former parish church of Carne (SMR 53:33). Groundworks consisted of the machine excavation of a concrete floor and the excavation of a pipe trench and percolation area. No features of archaeological significance were exposed.
