The excavation of the remains of nine archaeological sites that had been previously identified during centre-line testing along the proposed route of the N11 Gorey–Arklow link in the townlands of Coolnastudd (six sites) and Coolnaveagh (three sites), Co. Wexford, took place during the period 14 May to 5 September 2005. At the site of Coolnaveagh 22 the partial remains of a series of modern ditch or drain features, a series of modern furrows and the remains of a pit-like depression of burning were excavated. Seven pieces of flint were also uncovered, without a context, during the investigation of this site.
