As part of an overall assessment for the construction of three houses to the rear of a 19th-century building in Fore village, Co. Westmeath, two test-trenches were opened. These trenches, measuring 1m by 15m, identified this area to have been subjected to high levels of disturbance and nothing of archaeological significance was encountered.
