The development, a single dwelling, was located adjacent to and partially within the demarcated area surrounding Balrath castle, which lay to the south. Testing, with test-trenches located along foundation lines, did not reveal any finds or features of archaeological interest. Subsequent monitoring confirmed the testing results.
