A test excavation was carried out as part of an assessment of a site at Sporthouse, Butlerstown, Co. Waterford. The development consisted of the construction of a single dwelling. The site was located within the archaeological zone of potential for an enclosure (site). Four trenches were excavated, none of which produced any archaeological finds or features.
