Excavation was undertaken, on behalf of Waterford County Council, of a burnt spread and organic deposits at the site of a proposed water intake and pump house scheme on the bank of the River Mahon, at Seafield, Bunmahon, Co. Waterford, in advance of works. The excavation took place over five days in November 2005, during which time worked timbers, fulacht material, organic deposits and timber structures were recorded.
