Test-trenching was carried out in advance of a development adjacent to three archaeological monuments. One site is a medieval motte and bailey (SMR 81:52), located to the north of and across and the Thonoge River. The other sites are a church and graveyard (SMR 81:54) and a holy well (SMR 81:53). Test-trenching did not uncover any find or feature of archaeological origin.
