Monitoring was undertaken as part of some upgrading works on a drainage network at Church Street, Roscrea. The stretch monitored, 57m in length, extended between Moneen River and Church Street. Its commencement point on Church Street was 15m north-east of Roscrea round tower. No archaeological remains were uncovered in the course of monitoring groundworks. Approximately half of the route extended along a disused millrace, with the remainder extending through accumulated build-up of modern depositions.
