Two possible enclosure sites identified during field-walking were tested prior to development of a golf course. One of the sites proved to be a late 18th/early 19th-century tree ring. Testing of the second site revealed four burials, c. 0.4m below ground level, enclosed by a single ditch c. 1.6m deep, 3.4m wide. No diagnostic finds were recovered, but it is likely that the site may date from the early historic period. The locations of the burials within the enclosure were recorded and will be preserved in situ.
